The preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on December 30 is in full swing. PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the revamped railway station and the new airport, ahead of the Ram temple consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22.
PM Modi will flag off a Vande Bharat Express train and also address a public gathering and closely monitor the advancements in the construction of the Ram Temple.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who visited Ayodhya on Thursday, personally oversaw the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit.
During his visit, CM Adityanath reviewed the progress of the Ram Temple and development projects in Ayodhya. He instructed officials to adorn the temple town with grandeur reminiscent of the Treta Yug, the ancient era. In discussions with priests and seers, cultural events and bhajans were suggested at various locations to imbue the city with the spirit of Lord Ram.
In addition to expediting pending works for amenities and beautification, Chief Minister Adityanath highlighted the need for additional sanitation workers and directed the preparation of a digital tourist map for visitors. Special security arrangements and a comprehensive traffic plan were also mandated.

Considering the influx of visitors expected for the consecration ceremony, the Chief Minister called for tourist maps in all Indian languages and languages associated with Ram or Ramayana performances globally. The CM further instructed quick completion of projects related to the Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Janmabhoomi Path, Dharma Path, and the road connecting Ayodhya airport bypass to Nayaghat.
Officials were also directed to speed up preparations for the January 22 event, ensuring proper accommodation for visitors alongside strict security measures. To prevent undue escalation of prices, Chief Minister Adityanath directed the cancellation of pre-booked registrations for dharamshalas and hotels, urging fixed rates for accommodations.
