Gujarat Government to integrate natural farming into the education curriculum to raise awareness among students

In an endeavour to raise awareness about chemical-free farming in the state, Gujarat Education Minister Praful Pansheriya announced on Thursday that natural farming would be integrated into the educational curriculum for classes IX to XI.

“The Education Department will incorporate the syllabus of natural farming in classes 9th, 10th, and 11th to enhance awareness among the youth about natural farming,” Pansheriya said. “To promote a chemical-free, livestock-based farming system that integrates crops, trees, and livestock, the Gujarat Education Minister took the initiative of starting the natural farming practice at his official residence in Gandhinagar.”

He further emphasised the detrimental effects of chemical-laden food on both land and human health, aligning this concern with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continuous efforts to encourage people to adopt natural farming.

Praising the initiatives of Education Minister Prafulla Pansheriya, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat commended his dedication to promoting natural farming and applauded the initiation of organic farming practices at his residence.
