On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Ayodhya Airport, with operations commencing on January 5, 2024, according to Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh. The consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir is scheduled for January 22, and Singh highlighted the extensive preparations made for devotees, including travel and accommodation facilities. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the Aerodrome License on December 14, marking a significant milestone for the time-bound project.

Runway features
The airport boasts a 2200-meter-long runway, Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGL) infrastructure, Doppler Very High-Frequency Omni Range (DVOR), and an Instrument Landing System (ILS), making it suitable for day and night operations and low visibility conditions exceeding 550 meters.
The collaborative efforts of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and DGCA officials contributed to the successful completion of the project.

The chief minister urged officials to accelerate the progress of construction on Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Janmabhoomi Path, Dharma Path, and the road linking Ayodhya Airport bypass to Nayaghat.
