Central Railway to install panic switches at 117 railway stations for passengers – Here’s how they will work

Central Railway general manager Ram Karan Yadav has said that 117 railway stations will be getting panic switches. While speaking in his first news conference after taking charge, Yadav said that the Central Railway will install these panic switches at 117 stations on its network.

What will the panic switches do?

For the installation of the switches, the Central Railway has signed an MoU with RailTel.

Once the switches are pressed, the RPF control will get an alert and help will immediately be sent to the passengers by checking the CCTV.

The installation of the switches are expected to be completed within a year.
